The Dark Knight Rises - Design By Humans

So, I work for this company Design By Humans.  We just finished this insane contest with Warner Brothers.

First a little bit about the company  the way I view it.  DBH is an online t-shirt and artist community.  Basically, we sell shirts that have art on them.  Not like Picasso, but the artist who can envision a whole different world.  It so crazy what some of these artist can do.  This site holds so many different type imagery and emotions, more than I ever thought.  I get lost in looking at all of them.  Usually when you look for tshirts...you look for the coolest design or if the design is "in style" However, when I look at the designs, I find myself wondering what these artists were feeling or what they were trying to express.  In the end, I end choosing shirts that go with my mood, shirt that express what I'm feeling or who I am.  And thanks to these artist, I have another means of expressing myself.

Now, how does this relate to this crazy Dark Knight contest.  Check out the submissions for this contest.  The vision and the amount of detail is ridiculous.  Even though I haven't been a huge of Batman ever since Christian Bale took the role, I still have give props to these artist and this movie coming up.

For the past couple of months we have been working around the clock and nonstop gearing up for this event. We've gone all out, even Christopher Nolan picked the top three designs, were doing live feeds with the artist who won, and all I can really think about is....how the hell did these artist envision something that so many people would connect to.  I mean, everyone has t-shirts, but when it comes to connecting with a drawing, how you feel when you put it on...that's so crazy.  I've been looking at all of the submissions for weeks and there has always been this one shirt that I keep going back to.  Staring at it, letting my eyes follow wherever it is being led to by the artist design.  I mean, I'm  not one to pan over batman items, but still, when I think of a shirt on the design by humans site, I can only think of one.

Obviously, you can tell I'm nothing close to an artist...I think my closest creation was some project with pop-sickle sticks or chalk.  But just like everyone else, I'm a dreamer and a day-dreamer.

Tell me, just look at some of the designs on the DBH site and give some of your feedback...I'd love to hear!
